Annual Fireball 40 Tournament
On January 17, 2013, twenty-one year old Cory Joseph Wilson died as a result of a fatal heart arrhythmia. Regrettably, there was not an AED (Automated External Defibrillator) available to treat Cory at the time when he needed it the most. It is our hope that this annual tournament and future events will result in AEDs being placed in numerous facilities throughout our community.
The 2018 Cory Joseph Wilson Fireball 40 Memorial Baseball Tournament is Friday and Saturday, August 24th and 25th, 2018 at Scott Stell Park.
Entry fee is $30 per player and includes a Fireball 40 t-shirt.
Please contact Tournament Director Mike Miller at (912) 755-8745 (cell) or (email) to enter your team or for more information.
Tournament proceeds will purchase AEDs (Automated External Defibrillator) for selected facilities in need.
The remaining proceeds will be donated to the Cory Joseph Wilson Memorial Scholarship Fund through the Savannah Community Foundation
Scholarship recipients are Kappa Alpha fraternity members at Georgia Southern University.
